About

Chartered in 2024, Circumpunct Lodge No. 777, Free and Accepted Masons, operates under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of the State of Indiana. Our lodge is distinguished by a commitment to deliberate formality in all aspects of its work—from ritual and education to attire and the dining experience.

We emphasize the esoteric dimensions of Freemasonry, rooted in philosophy, the seven liberal arts and sciences, and the initiatic tradition. Our culture values philosophical inquiry over procedural formality, education alongside philanthropy, and aesthetic refinement above administrative routine.

Circumpunct Lodge observes the ritual as prescribed by the Grand Lodge of Indiana, with a consistent focus on decorum, symbolism, and reverence. The atmosphere within our lodge is one of solemnity, purpose, Masonic intimacy and harmony, and intellectual fulfillment. Our aim is not to obtain quantity of members, but rather quality, and to further the pursuit of Masonic excellence within the global order.

We host quarterly educational sessions open to members and guests, offering presentations that reflect the deeper interests of the Masonic tradition, including esoteric studies, philosophical topics, and degree-related material.

While we warmly welcome visitors, we kindly request that brethren inform the lodge in advance of their intention to attend. Proper attire—dark suit and tie—is required. Following select meetings, we may hold an onsite festive board, or an offsite convivial dining event open to members, guests, and prospective brethren, designed to foster fellowship in a relaxed and meaningful setting.

About the Logo:
Our logo – the Circumpunct (⊙) – symbolizes a centered origin—the source, the self, and the cosmos unified. It is a powerful esoteric symbol representing the unity of all existence. Its outer circle signifies the infinite whole—the cosmos or Absolute—while the central point reflects the singular origin from which everything arises. Often associated with the Sun in alchemical and astrological traditions, it embodies the divine source of light, life, and consciousness.

Philosophically, it aligns with the concept of the Monad, an idea explored by thinkers such as Pythagoras, representing the indivisible foundation of reality before duality emerges. The symbol also expresses the process of creation, with the central point radiating outward into manifestation. On a deeper, personal level, the circumpunct serves as a reminder of the inner self—the divine spark within—centered and connected to the vastness of the universe.

About the Seal:
The Circumpunct Seal, as depicted on the coin, presents a unified expression of esoteric and Masonic philosophy, weaving together symbols of balance, cosmic order, and self-realization. The pillars of Boaz and Jachin stand at either side, representing duality, strength and establishment, and the gateway between the material and spiritual worlds, each marked with the tripunctial symbol denoting wisdom, harmony, and equilibrium. Encircling the center are the twelve signs of the zodiac, forming a complete wheel of cosmic influence and the cyclical nature of existence.

Above this celestial band appears the Greek inscription “Γνῶθι σεαυτόν” (“Know thyself”), a maxim associated with the Temple of Apollo at Delphi and echoed in the teachings of Socrates, emphasizing self-knowledge as the path to enlightenment. Crowned above is the number 777, often understood in esoteric traditions as a symbol of spiritual perfection and higher attainment. At the center of the seal rests the Square and Compasses, signifying moral discipline and alignment, joined with the all-seeing eye, representing divine awareness and inner illumination. Together, these elements express the journey of the individual—centered within the circumpunct—seeking balance, self-mastery, and unity with the greater cosmic and divine order.

Taken as a whole, the seal expresses a single esoteric teaching: the journey inward leads to the center, and the one who finds that center stands in harmony with the entire universe.
